Ohh friday. Finished class early today, 11am. wohoo. The past week was good :) bright and sunny.


The 2nd week of uni, was freshers week. All societies and clubs were busy with their booth, promoting with free food, giving away freebies, doing demos and other stuff la. Tonnes of parties and what not events were held. I signed up for islamic society (obviously), med society, jazz club and volunteer overseas. I missed the Stefan Galt gig on wednesday!! Argh! I forgot it was on wed. The next workshop by Bill Carrothers, i wont be going i guess. Not so much into the piano thingy. O ya, i joined KICKBOXING. Gagagaga :) Went to the city on saturday. Was supposed to go to some seniors house, they were selling stuff, but the bus didnt stop! Aaaaargh. Jadi saya dan housemate saya merajuk dan membawa diri ke city. LOL :) We planned to buy printers anyways, so thats what we did la. On sunday, right after doing laundry, we got a text from some senior that they're giving away free stuff, ie food supply, books, clothing, etc. So we (me & my housemates) went, and got 4books. Just what i need! The kakak insisted me on taking one of the baju. But all of them were size 12 and above. I didnt want any. Sangat besar. Since she insisted, waddeheck la kan, free stuff, so i just took the one she recommended. Terima kasih seniors, for all the stuff :)



This week, I went for kickboxing on tues and thurs. Was ok la. Didnt do anything much, basic kick+punch. And extreme stretching. The normal painful early morning feel is back the day after training. So far, its something like taekwondo. Nothing new to me yet. Tomorrow im gonna make my GARDA card, coz mine is expiring next week. Mahfan. Just now i went to xiao wei's place to send chicken. She told me about her chicken rice, which was not-so-chicken-rice-like. Then she was like "i got so many expiring food, potatoes, bla bla.." Sooo instead of letting the food go to waste, i made her mashed potato, hateefarah style yo. LOL :) Im glad she liked it. Seee, i CAN actually make something nice for people to eat. Hahaha! Since we have like endless supply of chicken, I think i MIGHT make something soon. Raya is like next week. Hmmm.. but what to cook? o_O



Female futsal for PMCSA thingy was cancelled. SAYA KECEWA.




A very good childhood friend of mine just lost her father. I found out about it last week, the day after he passed away. And i was restless for two days, so i baca yasin. Only then i was able to sleep and not think about it. When I was all hype and happy, there are people experiencing loss I just couldnt imagine.













Random:
Ive gained weight. Tidak tipu. SAYA SUDAH TIDAK MUAT SELUAR SAYA! Aduh. Inilah sebab makan free telampau banyak di bulan puasa. See my dear family, i have no trouble at all when it comes to food :)

Pink Cows?

Anyhow, classes were not so interesting somehow this week. The only class that was exciting was CSI, dissection and osteology (I got to dissect, wohoo!). And spanish too. I sabe algunas palabras y frases simples en español. First aid was a total blur, the girl talked so fast (i understood what she said) and it was so much to remember for the first lesson. And it was a 3-hour class sumore. AND its going to come out for exams. Aiyaiyai. The sri lankan lecturer didnt stopped walking around, circling the whole class. Ive never listen to such vague bio presentation. If you've been taught by ms nesa, you'll know. I'm not complaining or anything, it just that this is kindof the first impression of medic studies, so yeah. But theres still next week, and the week after, and the following. Who knows it might get interesting in the weeks to come. Veremos :)

O ya, i got some books from the library before they were all taken. Phew. I didnt have class on wednesday, so i went book hunting at the health science lib (i searched wher the books were shelved at on tues evening). Since all of the latest edition of the recommended books are gone, i took the older ones. They're still the same right? Just different book cover. But i'm only allowed to borrow them for a week. Haih. There'll be a booksale thingy soon, so i guess i'll wait for that. I dont want my parents to send the books here all the way from malaysia. Very mahfan. So i'll try to get them here first. Peduli la ba, second hand pun second hand laa.

On tuesday evening, i was in the library till quite late. I didnt realize the time. I think it was about err.. a quarter to nine...? Gelap suda time tu. Suda la hujan. Aiyo. Thank god i met John in the lib. He was kind enough to actually send me back all the way to Belgrove, eventho his way home was a different route. THANKS JOHN! I'll remember to bring someone along the next time im goin to the lib.

Going to the city AGAIN tomoro. Got buka puasa at seniors house. I'll be getting a few things too la. Files, gloves, a fan heater (probably, since my heater rosak. ive complained, still hasnt been fixed. Apparently, there are tonnes of heater rosak di belgrove ni), papers for printing and some other stuff that i actually really need.

Estoy cansada. I wanna sleep. Hasta el próximo post, adiós ;-)

Btw, i'll be updating my blog on weekends only. Exceptions: special occasions :). Dan saya tidak mengambil banyak gambar, sebab saya akan berada di sini 2 tahun setengah, i dont think things will change much. So i still have time to take pics.

Rainbows everyday

Hello Ireland :)

After the adventurous 32 hour flight we had from KL, it's a relieve we actually made it here. Coz the plane from KL to amsterdam had to stop in Berlin due to a slight problem. One of the engines broke down after we took off from KL. And the pilot only told us about the engine like an hour before we stopped at berlin. He said it was OK for such plane to run with only three engines left, but will consume more petrol. Best kan the pilot? And even before that, our the flight to amsterdam was delayed. TWICE. Supposed to terbang at 11.40pm (KL time), then delayed to 12.30am, then 1am.

Arrive in Berlin at 7am local time. Had to take our luggage. Lined up to check in again for about, errr, 3 hours? We managed to get the 10.40am flight to amsterdam. So we had to quickly go board the plane. Didnt even get the chance to round2 berlin airport. Sigh. And the security checks are SUPER FRIGGIN TIGHT. Buka kasut, buka tali pinggang, buka jaket, bagi keluar laptop, poket bagi kosong, body checks using metal detectors. Nothing like Malaysia truly asia kan? Sangat bagus *clap clap*. Yi Jet was brought to the security room, cause the berlin security thought his laptop was a bomb (HAHA).

KLM gave us some vouchers when we got to amsterdam for the delays caused. So the others went makan, where i was super full. I had been eating non-stop since i got on the plane from KL. KLM's food SUCK. But eating kills time, no? :) HAHA.

5th day in UCD (it's sunday 1am already) . UCD is massive. SANGAT BESAR. Its still summer here, so the days are long. Oh, and there are barely sunny days. Yeah, summer with little sun. My thoughts of summer sangat la salah. In ireland la of course. So far, there's plenty of rain and never ending wind. So when the sun is out, there's rainbow. Btw, did i mentioned that the window in my room have gaps on the sides? And my heater is not working? And the study lamp has gone kapoot? Yeaaa. Basically, everytime the wind blows i for sure will know. My room is like a fridge. If i put cold milk in my room, it will stay forever cold. Stupid heater. Then suddenly one day, (on wednesday i think) i was soo cold, i lost it. I took some toilet rolls and stuff it all at the gaps of the window. Very smart eyh? LOL. But my room is still cold. Sebab no heater. Bodoh. Haih. Mum called that very day and told me to go buy warm clothes. She must be worried. Hmm.

The seniors had organized activities for us and helped us in finding our ways in UCD. And later today, they're going to bring us to the city. Show us places and stuff. Jadi, i better go and sleep, 1.30am dy. I'll post some more later. Toodles!
